An Up-and-Comer - Greensky Bluegrass

Greensky Bluegrass is now on the radar.I know I am bit behind the times here as there first album came out in 2004, but hey, better late than never.
The new album Five Interstates (listen) is a wonderful listen. Progressive bluegrass at its best. It is the bands fourth album and the first with new member Anders Beck (dobro). Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth produced the album.

My favorite tracks:
- Freeborn Man
- Old Barns
- Into the Rafters
- Dry County
You also need to check out their other albums on Rhapsody: Less Than Supper (listen), Tuesday Letter (listen) and Live At Bells (listen).
“King of the Hill” - Bruce Hornsby bluegrass style (I wish the audio was a little better)

If I could somehow get a loop of the first 30 seconds. Anyway, if you are not In The Mood (listen), you will be after you listen to this. Thanks Tyrone!
A Must Have Album

The snow is falling in Vermont and as it softly blankets the landscape I always seem to turn to Neil Halstead’s Sleeping On Roads. It is one of my favorite albums and in my opinion an audiophile essential. This album will grow on you more and more with each listen. A must listen indeed.
Here is an old review from the BBC.
Listen to the album now! Sleeping On Roads by Neil Halstead
